The Kid Got Moxie And Three Predictions
I looked up the word “moxie” on the internet and here is what it said: energy, pep, courage, know how and determination. I think it started out as a New York type of expression and I myself would define it as: guts (a lot of), nerve, cojones (for you Latinos out there or wannabe Latinos) or a pair of brass ones (those that are in the scrotum) or more specifically, what Bruce/Caitlin Jenner refused to part with. Whatever.
You can certainly call him every name in the book and say whatever you don’t like about him but the one thing you cannot do is to claim that he lacks “moxie”. Who am I talking about? Why, Donald Trump, of course.
In almost total disregard of the “establishment”, the recalcitrant billionaire, ten times over mind you, has in spite of everything, done exceptionally well in the polls. Ever wonder why? Maybe it’s because his message, so far, is what the people want to hear – which is counter to what the “establishment” has been breast feeding them for years and years and years, whether it be from the media, Wall Street and the mega corporations or the professional politicians. On the Republican side of the polls he has double the amount of votes as his nearest competitor. I think that you should think about it.
The media always seems to make it a practice of taking things out of context and probably more so in the case of Donald Trump. The supposed derogatory remarks made against the illegal and criminal elements of the Mexican immigrants are only repeats of what was said about the wave of Irish immigrants of almost two hundred years ago, the wave of Italian immigrants at the turn of the last century, the wave of Jewish immigrants following the communist takeover of Russia almost one hundred years ago, the wave of Displaced Persons following WWII and the boatloads of Cuban and Vietnamese refuges, all of whom, by the way, came here legally.
What I don’t understand is why most of those who are complaining the loudest are for the most part, from the “establishment”.
America is unique in that it will extend a hand to a loser or someone in need of assistance, but it really and truly loves a winner. Taking that quality into account, it’s time for a prediction. Assuming that Donald Trump does make it to the semi-finals and is still in the lead, some Republicans and who knows, maybe a Democrat or two, will when they see which way the wind is blowing, join with him, either for what they perceive as being the greater good or simply to be able to hold on to their job in Washington.
Another prediction. If Donald Trump does make it all the way to the White House we will begin to see the end of the Sanctuary City syndrome and somewhere or somehow the professional politicians will get the message and do what is right by adhering to their oath of office by obeying the laws not only of their state or congressional district but also the laws of the United States of America. If you never heard of the term Sanctuary City, Google it.
One more for the road. And this has nothing to do with Donald Trump. It has to do with the morons in Washington who have brought us “peace in our time”, maybe, just maybe for as long as fifteen years if they are truly fortunate enough and if the nuclear agreement is faithfully adhered to, after which, due to the end term of the agreement, all bets are off. I predict that the agreement or whatever you want to call it will last from one to three years at the very most.
Why such a pessimistic outlook? Because it has already been revealed that Iran has enough processed uranium to make ten bombs. Well, you don’t need ten bombs. All you need is one to gain entry into the most exclusive club on the planet.
As soon as the economic sanctions are lifted and Iran can get a hold of the $100,000,000,000 or more of frozen assets and will be free to sell their vast quantities of oil all around the globe, they will be on top. With all of that money in their bank account and the rest of the world clamoring to do business with them, including the major corporations in the US because, business is business, the nuclear agreement won’t mean squat. At that point, and not one second later, they WILL detonate their first bomb.
One more goodie and this has nothing to do with politics or anything on the international scene. It has to do with the latest nut case who didn’t take his meds and was able to buy a gun. I’m for gun control wherein you have to take the proper stance, take careful aim and carefully pull the trigger. Yes, that kind of gun control but it doesn’t mean that mental cases should be permitted to buy guns, even BB guns. And they should be taking their meds, period, end of story.
