Enough Already With The Tweets
Trump just doesn’t seem to get it. He already made his point by winning the election. Therefore, there is absolutely no need or reason for him to get into a pissing contest every time someone sticks their tongue out at him or makes some unfavorable comments, even when if are false. By doing so it only serves to provide extra news coverage for the media against an individual who they already dislike and are continually looking for new items with which they can drag him and his name through the mud. If Trump had decided to ignore the ridiculous comments of Congressman John Lewis, who is liked and well respected by most of his colleagues, the furor would certainly have died down by now. Why fan the flames?
Okay, so FDR had his fireside chats over the radio when he wanted to inform the population of whatever was going on. But tweeting almost every other day? Overkill does not always work in the best interests of politicians. What it does do is to turn off even your most loyal followers. Because he feels that he must always get the last world, all that it does for Trump is to give life to and to prolong whatever the issue is, real or imagined. Instead of wasting so much valuable time on responding to bullshit he should extend a hand to those who would denigrate him and most likely would end up being pleasantly surprised how easy it is to turn that individual to his way of thinking. That in my opinion makes for a an excellent politician.
